The basic need of the Touch Life Centre is for financial help to cover the costs of the staff salaries and provide food for the children. We fully understand that our donors need to ensure that all monies given to us are spent on these items and some require the assurance that their donations benefit over 75% of black beneficiaries, according to the BBBEE verification requirements. This is particularly important for companies who run Corporate Social Investment programmes and for individuals who require tax receipts for their donations. Unlike many similar organisations.

Touch Life Centre incurs no costs with regards to administration (e.g. salaried office staff, transport etc.) and we are therefore able to dedicate 100% of all donations to the payment of staff salaries and the purchase of food. With this in mind, an independent audit of our activities is carried out annually by Empowerdex North. To quote from their website; “Empowerdex North are pioneers in the field of black empowerment auditing and the development of rating methodology. A leader in the BBBEE verification arena.” They look at all our operations, including the financial management and then issue an annual report. We have been awarded a Level 4 certificate and the latest Empowerment report is available for you to read by clicking on the links below. This was the situation up to 2017 and have left the Empowerdex information for you to see below. more recently we have only needed to complete an annual sworn statement and the most recent one can be read below.
